Moran Dán
is a second
generation transplant from Toronto, Canada who came 'home'
to her Cape Breton roots and caught the 'inspiration bug'
that 'seems to be in the air here'. 'I wanted to express
the deep feelings that stirred in my blood when I crossed
the Causeway to this beautiful island for the first time.
This was the home of my father who had always talked about
'down home'. Now I was here... I was home. He was home... in
me. So began this
inspiration to write, paint, sing about Cape Breton
Island... about this heritage my father had given me before
he passed away.
